Dictionary Definition
Of A Monk:

  • a single person,

  • one who is alone,

  • a person who is a member of a religious order,

  • one who lives in a monastery.

My Definition Of A Monk  From My Introspection:

A person who truly dedicates his entire life to his spiritual self is a fulfilled monk.

In most monasteries it takes years to become a monk.
The term monk means a great deal more than just
a person alone in a monastic order.

A monk has decided his existence
A monk knows he puts aside life
A monk releases all attachments
A monk likes himself
To choose to be a monk means that in the ultimate you are completely separate from the relative
A monk has no family
A monk has no friends
A monk has no profession
A monk has no urgent genius, which needs expression
A monk has no outer needs

1.  A monk is at peace.
2. A monk is fulfilled.
3. A monk listens within:
And hears the voice of the infinite
And hears the symphonic music of the spheres
And knows bliss
And radiates throughout his body perfect health
And lives in the world born of another world
And participates in all relative and human adventures untouched
And follows his inner wisdom in everything he does
And knows and refers to his inner self completely
And lives aware he is the creator of all
And lives aware he is all
And knows he is the infinite creator
4. A monk lives continuously aware of the divine within
5. A monk brings peace wherever he goes
6. A monk brings joy wherever he goes
7. A monk lives in the charisma of purity and goodnes
8. A monk is fully appreciated by those who are themselves monks
9. A monk is known by another monk
